Central Employment are working with a leading and award winning Digital Agency based in the North East, as they look to appoint a Digital Business Development Manager, to support a new growth period in the business, driving customer acquisition within niche sectors.   

Newcastle based FT, up to £50k DOE + benefits

This role requires the right candidate to identify, develop and secure new and existing business opportunities for large, commercial digital solution projects.   As a Business Development Manager you are responsible for growing the revenue of our business by identifying new clients and opportunities with existing clients. This role involves projects that include large bids, major contract, and tender submissions.

 The individual:-

This role will suit an individual who is a passionate self-starter with the determination to find and develop new business and develop current opportunities. You will need to demonstrate strong organisational and negotiation skills and the ability to close opportunities at all levels.

Key Requirements: –

  • Proven experience in a complex B2B sales process
  • A good knowledge of Digital with an understanding of websites, bespoke complex software and digital solutions
  • Ability to identify, develop and win new clients
  • Understand market sectors, trends, industry developments to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Develop productive relationships at the appropriate levels, to drive business and client acquisition.
  • Complete tenders and large bids documentation
  • Manage customer accounts throughout the entire sales cycle to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Attend all relevant industry events to network, see and be seen.
  • Prepare client proposals and close sales
  • Keep up to date records, pipelines, opportunities, attend sales meetings and report accordingly.
  • Work with internal teams including project management, design & digital ops, marketing & finance to ensure smooth business operations and client satisfaction.
