Central Employment are working in partnership with a leading B2C, eCommerce solutions provider based in Gateshead, as they look to appoint a strategically led Marketing Manager.
Marketing Manager profile:
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimising marketing strategies to drive business growth and enhance brand awareness within the B2C e-commerce sector. This role is a key part of the Senior Management Team. You will also receive mentorship and guidance from the fractional CMO, ensuring a smooth integration and strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement detailed marketing plans aligned with the overall business strategy and marketing objectives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive advantages.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the brand identity and messaging.
• Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels, including email marketing, content marketing, social media, events, and paid advertising.
• Manage marketing automation systems (HubSpot) to optimise campaigns and nurture leads.
• Track and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to the CEO.
• Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and maximising return on investment (ROI).
• Track and report on marketing spend, providing regular budget updates and variance analysis.
• Lead the managed transition from the outsourced marketing team to an internal marketing function.
• Manage a team consisting of a Sales Development Manager and a part-time Marketing Assistant.
• Foster strong relationships with external partners and agencies.
• Work closely with the Sales Development Manager to align marketing and sales efforts, generate qualified leads, and support the sales pipeline.
• Develop and implement lead nurturing strategies to drive conversions.
• Contribute to the creation of engaging and informative marketing content, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, email newsletters, and marketing collateral.
Experience required:
Proven experience as a Senior Marketing Executive/Manager or similar role, ideally within the e-commerce, B2C or Logistics sector.
• Strong understanding of the B2C e-commerce market and its specific challenges and opportunities.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, particularly HubSpot.
• Experience managing budgets and tracking marketing ROI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong work ethic.
• Demonstrable experience in and strong working knowledge of SEO, paid advertising, and content management
