The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production & Warehouse Operative with a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license to join our dynamic team. In this busy production and warehouse environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and the efficient management of our warehouse.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of premium spices and seasonings, supplying high-quality products to manufacturing facilities across the UK. Their state-of-the-art facility in Hetton-le-Hole is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in production, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate FLT to transport raw materials, finished products, and other goods safely around the production and warehouse areas.
- Assist in the production line, including mixing, packaging, and labeling of spices.
- Manage warehouse inventory, including receiving and dispatching goods.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure PPE is maintained and used correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in both the production and warehouse spaces.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Work efficiently to meet production and dispatch targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Valid FLT license with proven experience in operating forklift trucks.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and PPE protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
Working Hours: Rotating Shifts
Dayshift 07.00 to 15.00 Mon to Fri
Back shift 15.00 to 23.00 Mon to Thurs then 13.00 to 21.00 Fri
Night shift 23.00 to 0.700 commencing on a Sunday night.

1×30 mins break unpaid
Pay rate
Dayshift £11.44
Back shift £11.44 plus £11.25 per day shift allowance (equivalent to £12.94 per hour)
Nights shift £11.44 plus £125 per week shift allowance (equivalent to £14.77 per hour)
