Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Draughtsperson to join our team in Cramlington on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, utilizing SolidWorks, and contributing to mechanical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and plans using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
  • Conduct reverse engineering to create accurate drawings from existing parts and assemblies.
  • Review and modify existing drawings as required.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company policies.
  • Prepare documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and production purposes.
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering and production teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of all drawings and project documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in the mechanical engineering field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with reverse engineering techniques and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
