Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Draughtsperson to join our team in Cramlington on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, utilizing SolidWorks, and contributing to mechanical engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and plans using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
- Conduct reverse engineering to create accurate drawings from existing parts and assemblies.
- Review and modify existing drawings as required.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company policies.
- Prepare documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and production purposes.
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering and production teams.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
- Maintain accurate records of all drawings and project documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in the mechanical engineering field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with reverse engineering techniques and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
