On Friday June 24th Central Employment hosted their annual race evening at Newcastle Race Course, it was the second day of the Plate Festival & the Betfred Gosforth Park Cup Night. We had 7 races in total to enjoy on their new all-weather surface. The evening was an extra special one for the directors as it also marked the first anniversary of the company MBO so there was cause for double celebration.
Gates opened at 16.10 with the first race at 18.10. This was a great opportunity to get our clients together to watch some fantastic live racing and enjoy the real ales and ciders. As usual we had a great location right next to the main beer tent & pre-parade ring. Unfortunately we weren’t able to keep the rain away and as a result most of our guests were forced to watch the action from Central Employment’s own private marquee. There weren’t too many complaints thought as the marquee had the usual free bar and complimentary BBQ buffet which helped to keep our guests and 50+ clients well-watered and fed while we were all stuck indoors keeping dry from the rain.
A great night was had by all, especially those in the winner’s circle. We had a good number of people who returned home with more money than they came with thanks to some shrewd betting action. The night proved to be a great success as it served as a great networking opportunity for all of clients to get to know us and our other clients a little better and also gave all of the staff at Central Employment the opportunity to say thank you to our clients for their continued business & support. Thank you once again to everyone who attended and helped to make it a great evening, we wish you all a prosperous 2016 & look forward to seeing you all again next year!
