Central is proud to support grass roots sports in the region and our sponsorship of the prestigious Sport Newcastle awards, honouring the region’s emerging sporting talent and achievements.
Supporting grass roots sports and helping the sporting dreams of young people and sports clubs and organisations, Sport Newcastle is the City’s oldest and inclusive sports charity.
Held at the Newcastle Civic Centre, the annual event celebrates the success of emerging sporting talent, and sporting success and achievements in the region, including the Rising Star Awards for young aspiring talents.
This year, Central sponsored the ‘Sport Newcastle Coach of the Year Award’, which was presented to leading NE Squash Coach, Bob Aynsley. Central’s Finance Director, Will Palmer was there to present the award.
Matthew Squires, Sport Newcastle Trustee and Head of Fundraising said, “Our major award winners reflect the region’s success achieved across a diverse range of female and male sports.
