In a remarkable display of dedication and generosity, some of the Central team recently completed the Great North Run in support of Changing Lives charity. This renowned event saw some of the Central team members lace up their running shoes and take on the iconic course, raising over £3000 to contribute towards the impactful work Changing Lives do within the local community.
The Great North Run, known as the world’s greatest half marathon, has a rich history dating back to 1981. Starting in Newcastle and finishing in South Shields, the event attracts tens of thousands of participants each year, with this year’s event breaking the record at 66,000 runners.
The Central team’s participation in this year’s event exemplified the commitment to making a difference in the community. Through their collective effort and determination, they not only conquered the challenging course on what was a cold and wet September weekend, but they also made a meaningful contribution to Changing Lives, a charity that supports vulnerable individuals and families in need.
The impressive fundraising total of over £3000 stands as a testament to the compassion and generosity of our staff, family, friends and acquaintances, who went above and beyond to support a cause that is close to our hearts at Central. Their hard work and dedication have made a tangible impact on the lives of those people who rely on this fantastic charity, embodying our company’s values of community engagement and social responsibility.
We are incredibly proud of the team for their outstanding achievement in completing the run and for all of the invaluable contrubuions made by our donators. Their commitment to making a difference is a true reflection of the spirit of our company, and we look forward to continuing our support for worthy causes in the future.
Well done Team!
