Job Title: Site Supervisor – Printing/Finishing Department
Salary: Up to 32,000 D.o.e
We are currently recruiting for a Site Supervisor for our client in Stockton, Central Employment are the longest independent recruiter in the North East, established in 1979.
Role:
As a Site Supervisor, you’ll be tasked with overseeing the production teams to ensure the attainment of quality standards, productivity goals, and adherence to customer deadlines in our fast-paced, bespoke manufacturing environment. This role demands hands-on involvement within the production setting, alongside fulfilling supervisory responsibilities outlined below:
- Supervising skilled and semi-skilled machine operators.
- Monitoring daily employee performance to ensure efficient task completion aligned with customer requirements.
- Ensuring operators adhere to schedules and overseeing progress.
- Planning resources to align with demand and customer deadlines.
- Monitoring production jobs and rescheduling to meet customer SLAs and deadlines.
- Facilitating regular communication with other departments.
- Participating in and contributing to production planning and customer project meetings.
- Developing and managing operator training programs, integrating new employees, and maintaining workforce proficiency.
- Establishing and maintaining maintenance schedules.
- Implementing enhancements to production processes.
Skills:
- Preferably, experience in print/bindery roles; exceptional candidates from other industries will also be considered.
- Exceptional organizational, structural, and adaptability skills.
- Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining composure.
- Quick thinking and capable of adjusting production priorities swiftly.
- Proficient in one-on-one management as well as team coordination.
- Strong leadership, motivation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Effective decision-making, delegation skills, and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools like 5S or Keisen.
Hours of Work:
This role works on a 3-shift rotation, consisting of Mornings, Afternoons and Nightshifts.
Location:
The position is based in Stockton-on-Tees, at the clients Head Office, located out of town.
