The North-East coastline is considered an area of outstanding natural beauty. Home to several beautiful beaches and important wildlife habitats, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries, making it crucial to address litter and environmental issues, a common concern for many coastal areas. Local authorities, environmental and community groups are actively involved in raising awareness and organising clean-up activities to combat this problem.
The cooperation and involvement of the local community, tourists, and authorities is essential in preserving and maintaining the cleanliness and natural beauty of our beaches. Efforts should be made to reduce, recycle, and properly dispose of waste to mitigate the environmental impact and ensure a positive coastal experience for everyone.
Central are proud to share, that throughout last week, several members of our fantastic team dedicated their time to participate in a beach clean-up, from Blyth to Tynemouth. Despite the challenging weather conditions, and their busy schedules, they willingly volunteered to pick up litter, showing their commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
As a business, Central have pledged that for every bag of recyclable rubbish collected, to donate to one of this year’s chosen charities, Changing Lives, raising a respectable £550 for such a worthy cause. Not only making a difference in our community, but also supporting charities that align with our business values.
Thank you to company directors Mark Trett and Steve Hart who led by example as well as some of our amazing team: Tyler Hoyle, Paige Mulcahy-McGill, Louise Sutherland-Knowles, George Hixon, Ben8jamin Welsh, Laura Lambie, Laurie Chapman, Louise Denyer and Lauryn Trett.
Your willingness to endure the adverse conditions and prioritise the environment is truly inspiring. Together, we can continue to leave a positive impact on our surroundings and create change that lasts.
